"It's one of the most astonishing places in the City of Chicago . . .

it's imbued with history . . .

one of Chicago's hidden Treasures!!"

Now in Our 25th Year!!

 "Like a kid in a candy store. . ."

is a phrase I've taken seriously since opening

Polo Nuts and Candy, Etc. here in 1985. Indeed,

we've come such a long way from those days of

over 400 varieties of candies and nuts, plus ice

cream and popcorn, and in 1990 began  focusing

our culinary efforts and experience on  Polo Cafe

  and Catering Bridgeport U.S.A.

For more than 24 years we continue to create

  "something different . . . something wonderful!"

for thousands of folks whether at the annual

Taste of Chicago, where we've served Shark

Veracruz, Crab Cake Nuggets, and Garlic-

Mozzarella Cheese Bread during our 18 years

along the lakefront, or with our spectacular

cookies & candy trays and custom Easter gift

baskets adorned by our signature satin bows,

or at our masterfully catered productions and

lavish, beautiful buffets which touch so many

lives giving lots of precious memories for our

  customers and their guests.

Since 1997, I've offered an elegant private room

attached to my restaurant called the "Old Eagle

Room".  Originally built in 1914 as a neighbor-

hood picture show named The Eagle Theater, it

accommodates up to 100 guests.  According to

The Chicago Sun-Times, "...it has some of the

best acoustics in the City," and featutres a mag-

ent three-manual Rodgers 360 Theatre Organ

(voiced by the late John Seng in 2000), a 20-

channe audio/DJ system, and on the theatrically-

lit stage, a rare solid walnut 1964 Wurlitzer

Grand Piano for your unique entertainment.

     Jenna's Wedding Chupah

on stage for her wedding ceremony

         followed  by a buffet reception

             and dancing in my elegant

                     Old Eagle Room.

Finally, I've recently added the latest extension of our hospitality here . . . my Bridgeport Bed and Breakfast:  four spacious 2-3

bedroom, handsomely decorated, themed suites with private bath above my legendary Polo Cafe and Catering Bridgeport U.S.A., including

complimentary lighted parking in my gated lot and breakfast downstairs in Polo Cafe

Minutes south of the Loop with its lighted parking lot, my place is ideal to gather for a special event, dinner or reception, wedding or holy union

ceremony, as  well as corporate seminars, meetings, and performances, plus unique overnight lodging.  I personally oversee the kitchen and

the many details of each catered event, and look forward to serving you here soon!!
